Come enjoy Marijonas Mikutavičius in concert at the International Centre.
Many of you already know him from his 2000 hit song, “Trys milijonai”, Lithuania’s unofficial second national anthem.
A popular songwriter singer, and musician, Marijonas Mikutavičius is also an acclaimed journalist, TV host, actor and screenwriter.
Beginning his singing career with the group Bovy, he was recognized as Best Vocalist at the Latvian music festival Liepajas Dzintars. Mikutavičius has frequently been at the top of the music charts and performs across Europe.
Some career highlights:
- Performed in the rock operas “Velnio nuotaka”, “Meilė ir mirtis Veronoje” and “Jūratė ir Kąstytis”.
- Released his solo album, “Pasveikinkit vieni kitus” (Say Hello to One Another), in 2004, and was named Performer of the Year. The album sold over 40,000 copies and was chosen Album of the Year.
- Placed 6th in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with the group LT United.
- Released the album “Baigėme mokyklą” in 2008 to outstanding reviews; “Dvylika savaičių sniego” was named Song of the Year.
- Performed “Pasveikinkit vieni kitus” recently at the Millennium Song Festival in Lithuania.
