Where has the time flown?
Not much time remains until we’ll see each other at the IX Lithuanian Song Festival, but it’s filled with meetings, rehearsals, finalizing of plans…with anticipating that everything will finally come together and become a wonderful celebration.
I know that sometimes all of this preparation seems overwhelming, but, at those “sometime moments,” take comfort in remembering that we’re working together to create a Festival of wonderful song, music and joy. And please remember that all of you – choir directors, singers and representatives – are indispensable to the success of our great adventure.
Toronto is ready to welcome 1,000 singers and many more in the audience.
So…
Singers: stay healthy, practice singing at home or in your car with the excellent recordings provided, and try to attend every rehearsal.
Choir directors: inspire your singers, make the songs approachable, and build up an energy which we all can share in Toronto.
Representatives: assist, accommodate, promote, and make sure deadlines are met.
Those planning to be part of the audience: know that you will be very warmly welcomed.
