Dear Lithuanians,
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Song Festival. When we returned from Chicago four years ago, we began organizing this, the Ninth, Festival. Our goal was to put together an extraordinary weekend of song. We hoped everyone would enjoy meeting old friends and making new ones in a setting of warmth and friendly ambience.
Your emails, letters, phone calls and comments confirm that this goal was attained. Yes, this Festival belonged to all of us, and it clearly demonstrated the achievements of our people and hope for our future. Lithuania continues to survive because we fought for her, protected her, and renewed her in our songs at our Ninth Festival. Our love for our nation is enduring and Lithuania will endure because she lives within us wherever we gather together.
Thank you all for your efforts, for your unconditional commitment and support, and for your faith in us. We can all be proud of this Festival. Let’s keep it in our memories and in our hearts for many years.
